Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist priests and deacons in the distribution of Holy Communion. They are trained and commissioned for a one-year term of service.

The objective of the Minister of the Word (Lector) is to provide effective proclamation of God’s Word in Scripture (not merely an oral reader of the Bible) to the congregation. Effective proclamation of the Holy Scriptures depends on the dedication and quality of how the lector prepares. He/She must be ready to proclaim the Word and live out the Word being proclaimed.

The role of a Sacristan is vital to every liturgical celebration. He is responsible for the preparation of everything needed prior and after each mass. The person must be knowledgeable, dependable, honest, responsible and trustworthy.

Ushers welcome and lead parishioners to their seats as they enter the Church for Mass, assisting in the preparation of offertory gifts, take collections, guide the people receiving communion, distribute weekly bulletins and assist the priests as needed.
